Amazing detail on this! You can really tell that this is something growing underground and trying to push up through the earth. I really like the detail of what looks to me a persons lower half of their body in the earth. The roots coming out of their feet look super real. You did a good job on fading/mixing the black and browns too to show the difference in depth. Great job!
